A New Name, Logo, and vision for the future

This week, the Springfield Centre in Idle, a long-standing local charity committed to empowering children and young people, proudly announced its official relaunch.

With a new name—Springfield Unlimited—a fresh logo, and a bold new vision the charity has reaffirmed its commitment to the district's young people.

The rebrand to Springfield Unlimited reflects the charity’s belief in the limitless potential of the young people they serve.

“We believe in the potential of children and young people and we are ambitious for them.” said Cllr Jeanette Sunderland, a volunteer trustee of over a decade. “Our mission is to create the time, space, and opportunities for young people to experiment, explore, and develop. It is all about helping them to realise their own potential and dreams.”

The charity has been powered by volunteer trustees, including Allan Griffin, who has devoted fifty years to supporting the charity’s work and David Ward, who himself has served since 1982.

Leonie Hudson, the charity’s Youth Lead, shared her excitement about the relaunch: “This is an exciting new chapter for us and the young people we work with. We have some incredible plans and new programs coming in 2025. It's going to be an exciting year starting with our Easter holiday activities

We are supported by some great volunteers. A big thankyou to our community of volunteers. We could not do this without you.”
